After Katy lost one to Northshore feelings were mixed.  Some felt that the team was too young while others felt the teams focus wasn’t there.  The following week katy found themselves in another dog fight with Atascocita.  A few rain delays later, Katy pulled it together and won 31-28 on a 40-yard field goal.  This wasn’t the team the fans were used to seeing.  Close games down to the wire after coming off a season opening loss?  Katy went back to work.  Tightened their offensive and defensive line and sharpened their passes.  In week 3 Katy welcomed Aguilas Blancas IPN (Instituto Politecnico Nacional), a 2016 national champion in Mexico.  Aguilas Blancas came to Katy with big hopes, but Katy had other plans.  Katy put the peddle to the metal and didn’t look back.  With a score of 56-0 at halftime, Katy began to look like themselves.  RB Deondrick Glass would rush for close to 200 yards with 5 Touchdowns.  Final score, Katy 63 Aguilas Blancas 0.
